Connecting TenantPoint to Zapier
Use a dedicated least-privilege TenantPoint API key for an invited private Zapier connection.
#Availability and connection setup
TenantPoint's Zapier integration is currently available by private invitation only. It is not listed in the Zapier App Directory. If your organization has been invited, connect it with a dedicated TenantPoint API key rather than a key used by another person or integration.
An Owner or Admin opens Settings → Developers → API keys, creates a dedicated least-privilege key for Zapier, then pastes it only into Zapier's protected TenantPoint API key connection field. Do not put a key in Zap steps, notes, spreadsheets, screenshots, tickets, chat, or email.
#Keep test and live environments separate
Start with a tp_test_ key and synthetic data in TenantPoint's isolated test environment. A test key cannot access live records. Use a separate tp_live_ key only for a production-environment connection after testing is complete. A connection cannot mix environments.
The connection identifies the TenantPoint account, workspace, and environment. Every request remains limited to that workspace and the key's permissions. If a connection test fails, check the key prefix, that the key is active, and that it has the permissions required by the intended Zap; do not substitute a key from another environment.
